Camping

Well I was supposed to camping this weekend at LBL as sort of a walkabout but unfortunatly the night before I found that the most important piece of plactic on my backpack broke, clip on the waist belt. So at least I got my tent out for the first time since I bought one year ago. Also spent about 250$ to finish out my camping equipment so I should not have to buy anymore. All I need now is the kayak and I think I am set.

Saw the Pirates of the Caribbean. Nothing really suprising but very entertaining. It is like the first movie except bigger in alomst every way even to the point that the next movie is just a continuation of the story. Johnny Depp is again in fine standard form. He doesn't give us anymore depth into the character, but to know that Jack Sparrow has anymore depth would ruin him. The mythology of the sea is in much more of the story this time around with Davy Jones. Orlando Bloom I am sure is just as dreamy to girls in this movie but unfortunatly Keira Knightly's role is somewhat diminished until the end. Is it better than the first one? It is hard to say because it is just one half of the whole movie and we are left hanging and have to wait till next May. But so far I would have to say yes. Enough where I may have to buy the whole trilogy, in box set of course. And of course the big flat panel TV to watch it on.
