Busy

Well in the past week, I have had my share of arts.

First "V for vandetta". Not quite what to make of this movie. I can tell it was definitly from a story and not an original screenplay by the subplots with the lesbians. But another thing is that I have read some reviews by Evangelicals saying that the story is hostile to Christians because of the deitic beliefs of the dictatorship. But I wonder if Christians will ever see a plot as being hostile to Pharisees instead of true Christians. Jesus was hostile toward Phariseed more than any other group. Do we even recognize what a modern day Pharisee would be? And if art paints these people as Jesus would, would we acknowledge that.

Second "Inside Man" Great plot. Good acting. Need to see it again to get everything clear.

Third "Slither" Fun movie. It is like a cross between Tremors and Alien. Go see it if you laugh at unrealistic gore.

Also went to see a band that I predict will be very popular on the concert, festival, and independent music. Mutemath is a great band. I am still trying to wrap my head around the music but it very well done. They are Christians but will not have anything to do with the Christian music industry. They are passoniate without reservation. I have always compared them to The Flaming Lips in they way they love making music and the style of their music. In some way the remind of the story in the Bible where David gave thanks to God by dancing naked for days. This reckless passion for God. Go see them. Especially with Switchfoot or on the Van's warped tour. Rock out baby.

Finally website of the day. MPR
